At camp, we plan our days to make the most out of every moment our campers and staff are at camp while still giving campers lots of choices throughout the week for exploration and discovery.
Daily Schedule
Before Care
7:30 - 8:30 AM
Campers registered for Before Care can be dropped off at camp as early as 7:30 am. Games and crafts will be available as campers arrive.
Busses Arrive
8:15 - 8:45 AM
Various bus routes are available to best suit your family's needs.

Morning Meeting
8:45 AM
Once everyone has arrived, we'll start the day with an all-camp meeting.
Activity Periods 1, 2 & 3
9:00-11:30 AM
Campers will rotate between swim lessons & activities with their counselors and unit!
Lunch
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Each day campers should pack a lunch to enjoy while at camp. Exact lunch times will depend on your child's group.
Club Time, Unit Time, Free Swim & Trading Post
12:45 - 4:55 PM
In the afternoon, Pacers, Pathfinders & Pioneers will enjoy their club choice, regroup with their unit, enjoy the lake and then head down to the Trading Post for a snack. Turtles have their own afternoon schedule.
Busses Depart
5:00 PM
After-Care
5:00 - 6:00 PM
Campers not taking a bus home will play games and enjoy fun activities. Registration for After Care is required.

Activities
Each morning, Pacers, Pathfinders and Pioneer campers will have a choice of programs during their activity periods. One activity period is dedicated to swim lessons in our beautiful lake.
Programs offered will depend on weather and staff expertise! Your camper might be treated to a specialty program if we have a staff member who can lead it!

Turtles
Our youngest campers have their own specialized schedule - allowing for lots of exploration and friendship building, while being supervised by our Turtle counselors.
Our Turtles also have their own building! The "Turtle House" has age appropriate games and activities, and is a great place for our campers to rest during the busy day.


Clubs
Each week, campers choose a club, which is a longer, more focused activity period. Club choices vary from week to week!
- Sailing: Learn the basics of sailing with an experienced instructor. Must be GREEN-level swimmers to participate. Pathfinders & Pioneers Only
- Climbing: Children conquer their fear of heights and increase their physical strength with indoor and outdoor climbing sessions.
- Fishing: Learn new fishing techniques, as well as the difference between varieties of knots and lures.
- Paddle Boarding & Boating: Have fun with watercraft! Play games on the lake while learning about boating & water safety in the process.
- Hiking: Explore the woodlands and picturesque scenery on the hiking trails surrounding Fairview Lake YMCA Camps. Campers learn about trail signs and safety.
- Teambuilding: Participate in engaging activities that also promote teamwork and cooperation.
- Arts & Crafts: Exercise those creative muscles with lots of arts and crafts time. Your child will be an artist in no time!
- Survival: Campers learn the art of surviving in the woods! From shelter-making to fire safety, kids will come away knowing how to keep themselves and their families safe in an emergency.
Add a Week of Trail Rides!
At registration, you can add on a week of trail rides for your camper! During club time, they'll head to the Fairview Lake Ranch, where they'll be paired up with one of our lesson horses and taken on a trail ride by our ranch staff. Long pants and closed-toed shoes are required. Helmets are provided by the camp. No make-up days for inclement weather are allowed. Campers must be either Pathfinders or Pioneers to participate.

Please LABEL all of your child's belongings!
What to Bring To Camp
- Lunch and drink (clearly marked with camper’s name)
- Additional water bottle to be kept in their backpack.
- Bathing suit and towel
- Plastic bag for wet articles
- Raincoat or poncho (weather is unpredictable)
- Bug spray
- Sunscreen
- Sweatshirt or sweater/jacket
- Footwear must be sturdy and closed-toe appropriate for camp
What not to bring:
- Sandals or flip-flops are not permitted.
- Electronic devices.
- Expensive or Irreplaceable items.
Considerations for Younger Campers:
Our staff will remind and check in with campers often for bathroom breaks, but we recommend families of younger pack a change of clothes for your camper, including underwear and shorts.
