Yes! All campers have swim lessons as part of their schedule. Pacers, Pathfinders, & Pioneers also have a free swim period in the afternoon.
Campers swim in our beautiful lake. The waterfront is staffed with American Red Cross waterfront lifeguards and supervised by a Water Safety Instructor.
Every child will be swim tested on their first day of camp to determine their swimming level, and be given a swim band to wear for the session. Please encourage your camper to keep the swim band on when they are at home.
Light rain and damp weather won't slow us down! Most of our activities can continue in a light rain, so we ask that families check the weather and pack accordingly.
For heavy rains/thunderstorms, we're lucky that we have access to large buildings on camp for indoor fun. Our staff have many rainy-day plans just in case!
Families can add funds to their child's digital wallets and give them the opportunity to purchase a snack and/or a drink at the end of each day at our Trading Post. Drink and food items range between $1.50 and $2. You may also send cash with your child.
Please note that counselors are not responsible for lost money - please make sure your child knows where in their bag it was placed and put it either in a wallet or a labeled plastic bag with their NAME ON IT!
We recommend $15 per week for snacks.
On Fridays, the trading post sells t-shirts, sweatshirts, shoe charms, stuffed animals, and more! Pens, playing cards, and other items are also available. Items like sweatshirts range from $40-45; t-shirts are $15, shoe charms are $5 and there are a variety of stuffed animals priced between $12-25.
If you have specific requests (like please do not sell my kid any more stuffed animals on Fridays), please communicate that with our staff!
Trading post balances are non-refundable. At the end of the summer, unused funds will be automatically donated to our Annual Support Campaign.
